I was going to write a review but found that Damien had written a lot of what I was going to say . We also are not hardcore sound people but found this blue ray DVD player and surround system suited our needs completely, wireless connectivity to the internet is a great feature and wireless rear speakers also. Value for money 10 out of 10. Found delivery service also excellent. ( Newcastle area ).

Admittedly, we are not hardcore sound system people (like my rear neighbour who likes to try out his subwoofer at 2am :-)). However, we just love this sytem. We have a small home theater room, and the sound levels and quality are suitable for that set up. Love the auto-calibration software and mike (great for beginners like us). Really most of all, we love all the Sony Bravia elements to this system - particular access to Quickflix's new video on demand system as well as the pay per view system that Sony offers (which has all the latest releases - which admittedly the Quiflix doesn't - all older movies). We now have a Sony Bravia TV, HD Tuner/HDD, and this Blu-ray system, and (although it took a bit of manual reading to figure out how to best minimise swapping between three remotes), we really love the way the whole thing sync's together. Yes we probably paid a little bit more than if we had gone for the cheapest home theatre system and the cheapest digital tuner/HDD system, but we were willing to pay a little bit more to have each bit of the system talk to each other. One remote (the Home Theatre System) pretty much handles the lot. Also love the abilitity to hook our iPhones/Pods up to the system and to watch videos from external HDD. Overall it is early days, and we are no experts, but we are really happy with our puchase.
