Unfortunately the first TV arrived with a fault. After turning it on for the second time, it had sound coming out but no picture.
I called BigBrownBox straight away late on Friday afternoon, and without hesitation they offered to replace it but I had to wait until the Tuesday.
I have had the second TV up and runnig for 2 weeks now and it is great. Picture clarity, Hi-Def, ease of setup, WiFi connection etc all rate highly.
Overall, very happy with the product Dean
Can't fault anything really, the TV purchase was simple and straightforward, deliverved when l wanted, (the next day asap!), product is great, but l suppose l'll become more of a lounge lizard now.

If you're after a great 2d / 3d image on a nice new tv, then you really can't go past this unit.
Great clarity.
Takes a little fiddling to get a nice picture from Foxtel SD content.
1080 and 720 material is just stunning.
I've dropped 1 star from the review ONLY because the Smart TV side is a little sluggish to respond, and takes a long to respond to input from the remote control.
I'm not bothered by this, as I've also got a Boxee Box which effectively is my "smart" TV anyway.
I also notice that I have to aim the remote control directly at the bottom left of the screen for it to detect a button press. I think this is due to the remote control itself
Overall, I really cannot fault the picture quality itself. it is quite forgiving with standard DVD's through a Blu-Ray player.

tv guide takes forever to refresh
the smart part would be better done using a small cheap pc with HDMI output, wireless card and a long range wireless keyboard.
pvr is fussy about recording whilst using other inputs, there are ways to do it but it could be much easier.
allshare is fussy, wouldnt recognize windows media server. sometimes wouldnt find allshare media server on my PC. using apps with a standard tv remote was hard work. jon
Just received this tv today. Ordered it yesterday, by calling the support line. BigBrownBox were very friendly over the phone (Talked to David) and they got the Samsung PS51D6900 out to me the next day!! (I couldn't believe it!).
Delivery was done next morning as per their website (had delivery guy call me at 7am saying they'll be here between 9-10am and they arrived at 9am on the dot). Unpacked the whole box straight away (needed a second pair of hands for stand assembly) and then started connecting all the devices. It has 4 hdmi, which is great, but unfurtunately, we overlooked that we have two old school connectors in the form of rca. So for the time being the satelite and foxtel is being switch manually as need. This is not the tv's fault, mostly ours as it was an overlook.
We all loved this TV straight away, the picture was fantasic (coming from a 6year old LG plasma and seen others Sony Bravias). We played normal tv for a while, using 2D and converting it to 3D. Both were great! We then popped in Avatar (not the 3D version) and that was completely stunning!! We then switched on 2D-3D conversion and enjoyed the vibrant 3D image which was just as stunning as the 2D image.
We would definitely recommend this TV to anyone, it is such good value for such a large screen! The picture quality is great, the features are astounding and the did we mention the price?!?

Been using mind for about a week now. I really can't fault it. I must say in some cases have needed to close the blinds as I have a window shining right on it but its not as bad as my previous Panasonic plasma. Im sure the new Panasonic models cope with glair better also but i think they are far to bulky compared to the samsungs i looked at. all in all, very happy with this product and thank you big brown box for your great delivery guys. I cant believe a 50 inch tv is under $2000 now, i know you can pick them up even cheaper but with smart tv included i could not be happier. well done samsung!! Allecia
